The students of Village Christian High School have a proposal that will prove to be much more effective in preparing us for college-level research papers. 1. Removal of a separate Seminar class- Most students, due to the pass or fail nature of the class, neglect taking the class seriously. 2. Incorporation of the research paper assignment into English classes. - Practically speaking, English teachers should be more adept in critiquing students' writing abilities than, say, Math teachers. Consequently, students will be able to improve upon their research paper writing ability due to better critiquing of their writing. 3. Replacement of the Seminar class time period for with a class that will allow give students the opportunity to grow spiritually, artistically, or physically. (Normal curriculum classes MUST be sufficient in a student's academic and mental growth, and an additional Seminar class for writing research papers should NOT be necessary.)
