Every year, the United States generates approximately 510,000 TONS of milk cartons. Milk cartons are also often unrecyclable, due to the plastic lining on the inside. This petition requires the John Burroughs School caterers to stop providing milk cartons and instead start providing milk dispensers. This will save the paper used in manufacturing the milk cartons, and in turn save the trees that the paper comes from. Not only will it save the trees, it will also reduce the amount of trash in a landfill by that amount. This petition will be sent to the headmaster of John Burroughs School in St. Louis.
