There are safer and quieter methods of celebrating the 4th of July. Introducing Laser Light shows help promote peace and quiet, there is no residue or fallout of toxic chemicals from Laser LIght Shows. Fireworks invoke distress among homeowners, landowners, business owners as well as wildlife, peoples pets, and livestock. There is no need for deafening 150+ decibel noise to damage our hearing, we hear enough loud noise everyday from other forms. Fireworks create problems with law enforcement, hospitals, and parents when chldren and some adults are injured by burns caused by fireworks. Pets can be injured and frightened by the noise forcing them to flee into traffic and jump fences. We have asked for the past two years, the Louisiana State Fire Marshalls Office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to add Fireworks to the now statewide Burn Ban, they do not listen to us nor other people requests. The weather has been very dry recently due to the drought for the past two months, we don't need fireworks creating wildfires across the State of Louisiana! This petition will be sent to The Louisiana State Fire Marshalls Office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. If we fail to have Fireworks added to any State Burn Ban, we will present this petition to Washington, D.C. for further consideration! Thank you for signing our much needed petiton.
