Name: Jennifer Gaultney on Dec 1, 2010State:Country:Comments: My husband and I are actively paying off debt. We are getting it done and financially we are in better standing. I own a growing company that employees a few people. Due to credit card companies jacking up our rates astronomically and reducing our credit line each time we get that card balance reduced we are struggling. We have an excellent payment history! We depend on personal credit lines at times to assist us in purchases for our company as our needs fluctuate. With our fico score dropping based on ratio we can't get any business loans to help us grow and hire. I have spoken to several people about this problem and it is widespread and is also hurting our economy. The banks were the authority that decided how much credit to give us, not us, and our income has increased, not decreased! So, what has changed, that we have done. Maybe there could be a way to use the original account max credit line as the basis as long as your payment history is excellent, but allow the banks to freeze your use. Anything but ruin your score based on their new business model for credit lending.Flag

My financial situation changed quite a bit when my income increased over 20% and have perfect credit now but my reports show otherwise. The credit scores are killing me, with them I can't obtain financing for anything......we need a new law to protect us against errors, old items, and what not reported on credit reports. Information should only remain on there for two years has a lot can change in that time frame as it did for myself.Flag

I have addresses on my credit report that are in cities I have never lived and debts that are not mine and apparently belong to someone with the same name. Why can they get by with these inaccuracies and refuse to listen when you try and explain and prove their facts as inaccurate. Experian and Equifax are the two worst offenders.Flag

Name: Katrina Walkr on Jul 22, 2011State: IllinoisCountry: United StatesComments: I filed Chapter 13 in Jan 2008 when I could not get any of the companies that I did business with for 10 year to consolidate my debt. Presently, I have secured two installment loans, and 3 credit cards while in Chapter 13. My score is close to 700. Once I have the delinquecies discharge and removed, I will be back completely with a very good score. Experian has been very unfair with reporting my past due tradelines from 2008. I recently applied for a loan from Prosper, and they had $7,500.00 as recent delinquencies; with a score of 635. I still got the $6,000 loan on June 29. I am starting a on-line business to get captial to pay up those 13 creditors from 2008. Also, I am looking into a consumer attorney to possibly sue Trans Union. On May 5th I applied for a loan from Famsa; and I had my credit monitoring score of 691 on hand. A Famsa representative said that my score was 601, a ninety points difference. I just need an explanation why this happen. Thank you, and keep up the good work.Flag

The current credit system is misleading and overused for purposes that are unnecessary and end up causing one's credit score to decline the more they try to use it. It is backwards and in need of serious reform.Flag -
