Glen Ferness is a suburb of agricultural holdings. A cellphone mast does not fall within the zoning and is contrary to the title conditions. There are applications for cell mast erections on Holding 56 Duncan Road, plot 162 Macgillivray Road and holding 88 Glen Ferness CNR MacGillivray & MacInnes. These masts are within 1km of each other. We object to all cell mast applications in Glen Ferness! It is clear that these applications are in anticipation of developments in neighbouring areas. If masts are wanted for these new developments then erect them in these new areas. We do not want them in Glen Ferness. Residents of Glen Ferness will all be negatively affected by the masts. Property values will drop. Properties will be difficult to sell. There are health risks. There are risks to fauna and flora. Masts are visually ugly. The Glen Ferness environment will be at risk. There are commercial enterprises in Glen Ferness dependent on its agricultural and rural nature who risk loss of business. Next to holding 88 is a childrens party farm yard. Indigenous trees are cultivated next to plot 162. Opposite plot 162 is an equestrian centre. Neighbours of both properties will have a clear view of the masts. Visitors to Glen Ferness will have a clear view. There is no need for these masts. There are masts within 2km of the applicants.
