Name: Anonymous on Mar 22, 2008Comments: We've got enough trashy bras and resaturants in Sheffield to keep everyone happy. If we must have another one why not stick Hooters down West Street then the young things won't have as far to walk and the boring old fogies won't have to fight their way through them when they come out of the City Hall on a Saturday night. Who's going to stick up for us old frumps that want a nice quite night out in the City Centre.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Mar 22, 2008Comments: How about having a nice quiet bar/restaurant in the City Centre for people to go before and after the concerts and shows on a Saturday night. Leopold Square is very nice and tasteful at the moment. why spoil it.Flag

Name: Vicky Seddon on Mar 22, 2008Comments: Leopold Square is mean to be a modern and elegant addition to our improving and attractive city centre. We don't want it spoilt by a place which encourages male customers to see the waitresses as being there for their sexist amusement and entertainment. We want establishments that are welcoming and comfortable for both male and female customers. This would make Leopold Square a no-go area for women (apart from those demeaningly employed there)Flag

Name: Phil Sharpe on Mar 23, 2008Comments: This is not something that the City of Sheffield either wants or needs. The questions to ask are: are you proud to be a part of life in Sheffield -and - is Hooters something to be proud of In my opinion it is both sexist, degrading to women.Flag

Name: Ian Lucraft on Mar 24, 2008Comments: I do not want Hooters in Leopold Street complex, or anywhere in Sheffield. We do not want a public place like this to be despoiled by a sexist bar, which uses women to sell products for commercial gain. We do not want Leopold Street complex, which we enjoy as a nice place to go for a meal or a drink, to be despolied by the male clientele that will frequent Hooters. It will not be an environment where women will feel they want to go, and you will have lost the whole ambience of a new environment which up to now has been a credit to Sheffield's city centre re-development.Flag

Name: Aileen D Wade on Mar 24, 2008Comments: I give my full support to this petition. Here in Sheffield, as elsewhere in the world, we must strive to protect the dignity of women and set high standards for current and future generations to aspire to and maintain. Thank you for alerting me to this unacceptible development on my doorstep and establishing a petition to defend the rights of women.Flag
