Name: Julie Webster on Mar 2, 2008Comments: There should be no place for Hooters in Sheffield or anywhere else in the world for that matter. The whole premise of the way that this bar operates is by deliberately employing women based primarily on what they look like and not on their abilities to work in a bar. This is sexism, pure and simple. Even though other bars may have owners who are sexist, Hooters takes this a stage further by deliberately employing scantily clad women and having female bar-staff sign a contract which basically means that they agree to sexual harassment. The existence of Hooters legitimises the oppression of women and reinforces divisions between women and men in our society.Flag

Name: J Wood on Mar 3, 2008Comments: Hooters in Sheffield City Centre great, BUT !!! Not in Leopold Square, when this development commenced the developers ASK said it would become a classy place to eat and drink, similar to there Deansgate Lock development in Manchester, would they put one there, no they wouldn't. There are so many other chains around today that would have fitted in nicely with the Square but I'm afraid Hooters won't, all it will do is attract the "pissheads" from further up West StFlag
