I believe a No Homework Rule would be beneficial to both Students and teachers. It would be beneficial to students because homework sometimes causes issues between students and parents for example if I have three hours of homework to do and I don’t want to do it, I can just say that I don’t have any and then get an F and if my mom sees that grade on Pinnacle and freaks out we get in a argument. Homework also causes issues between parents for example if a teacher doesn’t give out homework and your mom doesn’t believe that you dont have homework they will question you when really you didn’t have anything to do. But that argument wouldn’t happen if the parent knew the No Homework Rule .The No Homework Rule is also beneficial because the homework students get is made of paper, and paper comes from trees so if a teacher gives you a lot of homework, they have to give it to the rest of the class, so by having no homework we remotely save paper. As you know Walkersville Middle School is getting BYOD and wireless so we also save paper there. A No Homework Rule is beneficial to teachers too because they have 5-10 more minutes to teach because we don’t need to take out our agendas. It is also beneficial to teachers because we can focus more on work and less on homework for example in Pinnacle, instead of having a weighting system like this… HOMEWORK-10% CLASSWORK-15% QUIZZES-25% TESTS-50% Have it more like this… CLASSWORK-25% QUIZZES-35% TESTS-45% Homework causes issues between students and teachers for example a teacher could get mad at a student for not having homework and the student could get in an argument with him/her and that makes for an un-peaceful class but The No Homework Rule makes for a more peaceful day by no arguments.
