| 2802 | Anonymous | MTA service is appalling, to increase the fare would be so in humane is unacceptable.
MTA should concentrate on working on the quality and quantity of service before even thinking on increasing fare. Why are folks standing on an express bus after paying $5.00 and having to stand all the way through traffic? Now in the event of a quick stop, these people can get hurt (big law-suit). Bus shortage? MTA is servicing the public not animals. |
| 2803 | Georgianna Neller | Also, as for me, I don't understand how there can be an 11X every 10-15 minutes in the morning but in the afternoon I'll see four or five 12X's pass me by before even one 11X will appear. I believe the same amount of people go home every day as go to work in the morning. It takes me 45 minutes to get to work in the morning and 11/2 to 2 hours to get home. I might as well take the ferry and save my money. |

| 2805 | Mariah | We still have horrible, spotty service; poor out-of-service strategies (Oct 27-28 I had NO C service in Brooklyn to Manhattan and had to walk 22 blocks out of my way); no 2nd East Side Manhattan line; and have to wait for multiple trains to come during a.m. rush hours to get ON the train because so many are too packed to get on (4/5 at Fulton).
There's no way I'm paying MORE than 10% of my rent to GET to work (ea. month).
Thank you for listening; PLEASE find a new solution. |

| 2812 | Luz M. Soto | I strongely oppose any X-bus fare hike in Staten Island. |
| 2813 | Edmelinda Chico | I strongly oppose your fare hike. I suggest you start putting more buses on the roads and making our commute better especially going home at night . The MTA should have an HOV lane in the evening for the express buses to make the commute faster especially with all the construction on the Verrazano bridge. |

| 2820 | Toni Anne Mancuso | I have resorted to taking the ferry due to the never ending traffic resulting from all the construction...I certainly will not be tempted to return to the express bus if the fare is to be raised! |
| 2821 | Anonymous | If MTA representatives would join Staten Islanders on the rush hour bus lines in Manhattan, they would share our frustration about incredibly long waits (schedules are not accurate) for far-apart buses with no seats or broken seats. I take the #10 or 12 home and on cold and rainy nights have waited 30 minutes at Greenwich St. and then walked to the ferry bec. the bus is so crowded (and sometimes doesn't even stop). Raising the express bus fare over $5.00 will send many back to the ferry (meaning another 25 minutes of travel for me, for example--although the traffic through Brooklyn currently makes the trip 90 minutes to 2 hours some evenings. Thank you for considering our difficult commute. |

| 2825 | Tracy Andersen | Why is the original 1968 deal for NYC's surplus to subsidize the outer counties still in existance? Why are our hard earned and highly taxed dollars going to fund transportation for those who chose to live OUTSIDE of the city and NOT Pay NYC Taxes? Why is Staten Island and Brooklyn being unfairly targeted for the MTA's financial gain when we have the worst commute in the Country? I will be at the November 13th public meeting to ask these, and other, questions of the MTA and the Politicians who have appointed and oversee the MTA. |
| 2826 | Yu Lau | I take the x17A, and their service is sub-standard, a lot of the times there are lack of seats and/or lack of buses, and sometimes I have to wait over a half hour for a bus. |

| 2830 | Anonymous | I strongly against such unreasonable fare hikes. Can the MTA comes up with a better plan, from what I observe daily during the communte, there are lots of improvement needs to be done and where were all our money spent? Shouldn't the MTA be more transparent on their Budget plan? |
| 2831 | Noelle Spitalieri | |
| 2832 | Francine Atlak | I am against the fare hike. I am sure the fare will increase to $6 which is so unfair to us Islanders. We need more and most of a newer buses and far less traffic on the VZ bridge before I would consider a fare hike. |

| 2837 | lynn silberman | the cost of the express bus is now becoming out of reach for most staten Island residents. to take a local bus to the ferry and the train to work in manhattan is 2 hours. the only other way is express bus which is 1 hour if the fare goes up any more I will have to think about moving out of new york because of this additional cost |

| 2839 | Candace | It is the most uncomfortable and time consuming ride in any area. With the work being done on the bridge, it can take over 2 1/2 hours to get home and the stress that it creates is overwhelming. Something needs to be done, as it affect our everyday life.

| 2840 | Pat Williams | Where to start. Why do we not have any staters in
the City(Lower Manhattan) Between 4-7. Rush hours are long if there's a problem we just stand. |

| 2842 | Diana David | As a resident of Staten Island and voter, I strongly oppose to any proposal that raises express bus fares, as well as the Verrazano Bridge toll! |
| 2843 | Frank Nicosia | There should be a proposal for a fare decrease. The service is terrible at best. $2 is fare for the service provided. |
| 2844 | Anonymous | I strongly against unreasonable fare hikes for express buses as well as any toll increase on Verrazano Bridge. Staten Islanders already pay a high price for awful service. |
| 2845 | John O'Neil | Leave the fare alone- if anything ....charge a quarter or a dime on the ferry and watch the revenues poor in.. |
