| 2702 | Uri Zak | MTA got almost 1Blm surplus and it has no reason to raise fares. |
| 2703 | Nancy Ginsberg | I take the express bus into Manhattan daily. The commute on the Staten Island Expressway has gotten horrendous. It takes between 30-45 minutes to get from the south shore to the express bus lane on the SI Expwy. The only way to make up the time on the Expwy is to take the side streets and the buses are not allowed to do that. There seems to be more trucks on our roads than buses and cars. I am late to work several times a week. We need to fix the problem and get the flow of traffic reasonable. The MTA is losing customers on the express buses because the commute is out of control. We need to fix the problems - not charge your customers more money for what is already a stressfully slow ride to Manhattan. |

| 2717 | Anonymous | How can the MTA seriously consider raising the express bus fare when, best case scenario, over an hour has been added to the Staten sland/Manhattan commute every day?? If anything we should be getting reduced fares because of the unacceptable traffic nightmare we are faced with each morning and each evening. If the fare for the "express" bus is to be raised, I think I should get "express" service into Manhattan each morning, and back to Staten Island each evening. Let someone figure out how to handle THAT!! |

Thank you for your efforts on our behalf. |
| 2721 | Anonymous | How many more increases can we possibly get? How are we different from others. this is absurd!!! |
| 2722 | Anonymous | It's extremely unreasonable to having another fare hike coming. In the past few years, it was going up by 33%, and 25% already. That's no way near the average inflation. Make changes to the MTA board!!!! |

| 2724 | Tricia Sawchuk | I'd like to know if the MTA has any moral fortitude..
Why is it that Staten Islanders bare the brunt of every fiscal problem known to man in this city..?
"NO HIKE"...Not now and not later...we pay more then everyone else already. |

| 2727 | Anonymous | This is an outrage for SI. Whereas the other boroughs have a direct train ride to the city, SI riders are forced to use the express bus. Our other option is the train/ferry/train. Please reconsider your express bus increase. |

| 2732 | Anonymous | Its bad enough that I already pay $10 a day for HORRIBLE, UNRELIABLE service, so a fare increase is jsut out of the question! |

| 2734 | Anonymous | Usually when you pay more for something you are supposed to get a better product! |
| 2735 | Stephanie Guarneri | We sit in 2 hours or more a night of TRAFFIC. It is a terrible commute and no one does anything to make it better for us. We have no other means to get in and out of the city and its come to the point of being out of control now. People need to start moving off of Staten Island since we are treated like second class citizens by the MTA and Congressmen. |

| 2737 | Stephanie Marano | I will not agree to a high hike, unless we have later buses from Midtown to SI. |
| 2738 | Karen McCarthy | |
| 2739 | Robert Kennedy | This fare increase is very unfair. Express bus riders already pay a significant amount more than other modes of transportation. From where I live in the Bronx, the express bus is the only reasonable way I have of traveling to work on a daily basis. |
| 2740 | Anonymous | Why is it that as service gets more horrific, the price increases? Dealing with high commute costs, the terrible service and traffic has really hit home with just about every Staten Islander. It's bad enough there always seems to be a surplus in budget but somehow, someway, we are always getting tapped out between commuter increases, etc. and not to mention the mta tax on some utility bills as well. The entire MTA needs a major overhaul. This needs to stop. |

| 2742 | Jeanna Stanziale | I spend to much money as it is to travel back and forth to my job in the city and to increase the fare would be insane. I cant afford it, theres no need for it. Just dont do it, it will save the MTA a lot of grief |
| 2743 | Denise Paz | We already pay too much for what is always a longer commute than those not on Staten Island. Leave our fare as is. |
