151 David WallFootball is not life and death. It's more important than that.

153 J CleatonI think a little bit of flexibility is needed here, this is the first time that Cardiff City have been in the FA cup Final in 81 years. This reflects well on Cardiff has a City and you can understand the dilemma the students face please just start the exam a little earlier the students are prepared to pay any additional costs incurred. Agreeing to this will also ensure good publicity for the College!
154 AnonymousSurely some leeway can be given in respect of this very rare occurence

165 chris westonobviously exams on the weekend are not right, i dont see the harm in bringing them forward or putin them back to the following monday, this is a once in a life time opitunity for the club and its supporters, people jo an nicky put hundreds of pounds into watching this club, now when the day comes that makes it all worth while there denied the chance to watch the most importent match in the sports and clubs history. do the right thing please.

177 Joe NewburyIt is a shame that the University does not even seem to want to negotiate this issue at all. Universities may argue that if some exams are moved to accommodate certain events, it could open the floodgates for other 'important events' to act as grounds for other exams to be moved. But lets be fair here - we need to establish some common sense. This is a once in a lifetime moment for the city; one which clearly denotes wide appeal and the most absolute importance to those who are Cardiff born and bred. It isn't just football - it is a celebration that a city can rarely enjoy (and of course it was 81 years since City last enjoyed it). All these students want is a chance to see something which will more than likely be never repeated in their lifetime (that's not being a negative City fan, that's just being realistic!). They don't want extra studying time, they don't want to prolong or bring forward that dreaded exam to buy time/get it over with. They aren't manipulating the exam timetable for any academic gain - all they want to do is watch the City play. To deny them of that, without any sympathy or attempt for negotiation is shameful on the city's leading academic institution.

192 swanseaunibluebirdits nopt much to ask of cardiff university is it .I'd be DEMANDING exactly the same here if I had that probably (thankfully not) , if they can practically declare a national holiday for winning the Grand Slam in rugby they can go the extra mile for one of football's truely memorable occassions

197 Anonymousthis will be the biggest day in cardiff's history - for the university to even contrmplate having an exam on it is absurd.
