No Drilling on 8th Ave.

We, the citizens of the city Fort Worth, living in the neighborhoods of Berkeley Place, Ryan, Mistletoe Heights and Fairmount, do not support the request from Chesapeake Energy for a high-impact permit to drill two gas wells on the 8th Ave. rail yard property owned by Mr. Bill Davis and the Fort Worth and Western Railroad. As signatures to this petition, we ask the City Council deny the request for this permit.

6 years ago Comments: Several issues regarding an 8th Avenue drill site concern me. #1) Potential for air, water, and soil pollution #2) Noise, light, and dust pollution #3) Increased construction and industrial traffic #4)Potential for catastrophic accident. Also, this location is very close to elementary schools (Clayton and Daggett), Texas Christian University, The Fort Worth Zoo, and the medical district. Any accident at this drilling site would be greatly magnified if the effects were to reach any of these areas.
