This new rule that Roger Goodell but in place is a farce. This rule prohibits defensive players from doing their job. American Football is a tough sport, since football started in 1869 it has been a gladiator sport,and thats when the american general public loves about it. The NFL players know the risk all too well. They know that when they lase up those boots and put on those pads it's time to play. The rules have come to an extreme lately to the point where it affecting the actual game take the Bears vs. Lions game this is a perfect example of business men getting involved in a sport that they know nothing about. Roger Goodell has no football experience. Goodell's career in the NFL began in 1982 as an administrative intern in the league office in New York under then-Commissioner Pete Rozelle – a position secured through an extensive letter-writing campaign to the league office and each of its then 28 teams. In 1983, he joined the New York Jets as an intern, but returned to the league office in 1984 as an assistant in the public relations department. Please help me in getting rid of this ill faded rule and lets get football back on track and put it where it belongs THANK YOU
