Name: Tammy Francipane on Jan 29, 2013Comments: Well I have no problem proclaiming that I loathe Diamondhead and the "City Government" and not too fond of POA either! I wish that both could be dissolved. As I see it diamondhead is too busy putting up tacky signs, treating a water tower like it is some sacred shrine and engaging in other wasted spending instead of maintaining that which is their responsibility such as ditches (one behind my house still has debris from Katrina), roads etc and looking out for the best interest of the people who live here. Also curious as to why some people signing anoymously???Flag

Name: Renee Kiedrowski on Feb 2, 2013Comments: I think we were all approached with dreams and misconceptions of what the "City of Diamondhead" would be.. Most everything was false leading... It turns that our "City" is taking us, in a bad and inclusive direction...including the new "Smoke Free", which doesn't give establishments the right to choose, is just another joke. We're supposed to be a city,.. but the P.O.A. still wants over $4000.00 bucks to combine two lots.. that's ridiculous.. look at the charges in Bay St. Louis and Waveland... I've just signed a petition that is here in Diamondhead against the smoking ban... I believe everyone that owns a business has the right to choose.. If a place in non-smoking that's fine, but I have the right to visit that establishment or not... Government is giving us less and less of being free, and choosing our own lifestyles... It's time to put an end to this. If anyone wants to sign this petition, I am available to get it to you. I am getting tired of being told what to do.. Why don't we look at the bigger problems.. like why so many of our "business's" are losing money every month and every year, yet they still are open! If you can't make money you close! I'm tired of putting good money into bad things in this community. Something strongly needs to be done, and it obviously is not the current strategy of a Diamondhead City, or the continuance of the P.O.A. What a mess we've become...Flag

Name: Michael on Feb 12, 2013Comments: Many military families have chosen to buy homes in Diamondhead to raise their children and be members of a peaceful laid back residential community. With our salaries, we did not buy into, speed traps, increased taxes and increased tag fees, etc. Disappointed in the fellow comrades who supported this move to incorporate, you were not thinking of the majority of the people who live here.Flag

Name: Donald Schwander on Feb 15, 2013Comments: Dissolve this city before we become the biggest housing project in Mississippi. We are paying 3 times for our police protection, we have supported the county for 30 years, time to get what we pay for, return to a community and vote to allow the county back in, on all our roads. We need help from the county with our streets too, Diamondhead dr east is all cracked up and needs to be re-asphalted,not black topped . We are spending more and more money and receiving less and less services, lets dissolve and let county in and spend less money and receive more services!Flag
