Name: JOHN G. FLETCHER on Jan 13, 2013Comments: With all the corruption in Government ie. DMR, obomacare, etc. why have another bed in which to plant more stealing of our money. The City of Diamondhead was unnecesary since the POA was taking care of all of the needs of Diamondhead residents at a fraction of the cost. Also the POA did not have to comply with Govt mandates that seek to fatten the pocketbooks of the City leaders? friends. I say throw the bums out and lets get back to a having just the POA to contend with. The POA can't put you in jail for non compliance.Flag

People don't want to move here either with all the added taxes. I would think the so-called powers that be are kinda rethinking the "city" as well. The POA is the greatest thing either. No Questions allowed at meetings.Flag

Name: Anonymous on Jan 14, 2013Comments: I have had enough of the deception, poor planning or lack there of and in general, the spending of money that could have been put to better use. Diamondhead has become a commuity that is divided due to reckless spending without any input from those of us who are paying dues for years. With the purchase of a City Hall, hiring of more workers for the city, new police vehicles who know what else, this can only leae to higher taxes and POA dues in the future. The ultimate result will be that those who planned to spend the rest of the lives her, will not be able to afford too.Flag
