Name: Ben Schmitt on Feb 9, 2013Comments: The water is perfect like it is now. God has given us this perfect water here, there is no need to try and make it healthier by poisening it with chlorine. The good water alone is a reason why a lot of people want to live here, including me. Note: Just by taking a shower, the body absorbs a lot of clorine, which is very harmful to your body.Flag

I have already emailed the FHA as well as the Minister of Health! I truly hope that these efforts will change this decision - lets keep Chilliwack water healthy, safe and great to drink!Flag

Name: Kalita Boulton on Feb 9, 2013Comments: There are studies in the US that advise that chlorine in the drinking water is linked to cancer and other health issues. Chlorine is used to disinfect because it is the cheapest way to "cleanse" the water. I say NO to pouring bleach in our water and DRINKING it. Thank youFlag

Name: Gerry Sinclair on Feb 9, 2013Comments: Hi there, I protest to the adding of chemicals to the drinking water of Chilliwack. It is the cleanest water in the lower mainland if not Canada and should be kept that way. I was in Abbotsford and Surrey and there drinking water is absolutely horrible, with the smell of bleach. Just because some one got sick, does not mean it was the water. If a tap in any building was not used for a long period of time, that water could go bad. At work, years ago I drank from a fountain that was not used and I got sick. That was in Richmond on sea island. We also do not know what people do or where they go and they might of got infected some place else and the symptoms showed up when they got here and blame our water. I have been filling up 18 Lt. drinking water jugs here for 9 + years and never had to clean or disaffect them. In North Delta I could only fill them 3 times before I had to bring them back for new bottles because they were getting dirty. This confirms to me the water here in Chilliwack is just H2O and nothing else. Keep the water untouched Gerry SinclairFlag
