We, the undersigned, are signing this to show that we want the Day Services Charge to be scrapped. £10 per session in a day centre, 2 sessions a day, 5 days a week is £100 straight away. people are going to be unable or unwilling to pay these fees and are then going to lose the support network they have. This in turn, is going to make psychiatric services even more over-crowded with wards already being closed as we speak. All kinds of people use day services from people with severe/enduring mental health problems to people that have autistic spectrum disorders. we want this charge scrapped before it starts and not have day centres closed due to lack of clientel.
