Richard BestThis campaign, and injustice to the beverage alcohol industry in Ontario, must include freeing the industry from the LCBO's stranglehold.
AnonymousAbout time.
Troy A.Why not sell at our local Loblaws? -the beer store is not even Canadian owned!
Mark Davidsonyes I agree lets bring beer to the corner stoers
Edwin FlowerHow about more convenience, more choice and lower prices?

AnonymousIt is outrageous that my beer dollars are being siphoned out of Canada by a monopoly. We need some competition in the marketplace.
AnonymousMake it easy for Canadians to purchase beer.....follow the lead of the US.

Noel B.Well done and best of luck on behalf of TheSharkGuys.com. We blogged about your petition here: http://www.thesharkguys.com/2008/09/03/beer-drinkers-of-ontario-unite-sign-petition-to-end-the-beer-store-monopoly/

AnonymousWhile the government will be hard pressed to give up their cash-cow, the time has come to re-think their 'father's knows best' attitude. db

Michael CohenThe current situation in Ontario for both beer stores and the LCBO are ante-diluvian. I am an international consultant and I have never seen anything as ridiculous as this situation (except in other Canadian provinces). The Ottawa Citizen has published some of my letters protesting the continuation of this system, which goes back to the days of the lifting of Prohibition. Al Capone would have been proud of Ontario if he'd been around today.
AnonymousIt's about bloody time... What is it with this province? I also remember a time when last call was 1AM (!) Sheesh http://www.thesharkguys.com/2008/09/03/beer-drinkers-of-ontario-unite-sign-petition-to-end-the-beer-store-monopoly/
AnonymousIt works in Quebec why not here?

Chris GirardSave millions of gallons of fuel..!!! :-)
Tom CalvertThe LCBO needs to go too. Service is so much better in BC and Alberta. Better hours and competition make it work.
Matt BushI absolutely agree with the position of this petition. The foreign owned, beer retail monopoly in Ontario is long past its freshness date. The time is now for beer sales in grocery and convenience stores.

Gary BrownOnly in Ontario! Come on, people, travel the world where you can buy beer, wine, and alcohol in any store, newsstand, or bus stop, and even drink it on the streets or beach on a hot day. And you DON'T see drunks, they are responsible. This Victorian relic MUST be abandoned or we continue to lose tourists and waste gas driving to the infrequent Beer Stores and LCBO's with short hours. I could walk next door to Sobeys, but I must drive to get my beer. It is time to move into the 21st century, folks! Keep up the fight!

Eric PeltierStop gouging us. We want fair prices, its hard enough for people to live being taxed the way we are already... If Quebec can do it why not Ontario?
Greg WheelerCome on, already—let's let the people get to the beer.
Teresa Stirling
Anonymousalso wine. The people want wine.
Sophia Guertin
André MacAfeeFREE THE BEER! Current costs are just too high and locations often difficult to find. It's just not right.
AnonymousThis is a common right enjoyed by democratic societies the world over, why not Canada? Are we believers of monopoly or unfair trade?
karelle LemieuxFREE THE BEER !
AnonymousI believe we should have the right and the convience to buy alcohol at corner stores
