Name: Fabio Delenda on May 17, 2002State: NYCountry: USComments: I think its absolutely ridiculous that the players and owners are this greedy. For crying out loud you people make so much money to begin with. Can you really justify A-Rod getting a ten year $252 million contract cause if you could i would love to hear the explanation. Keep one thing in mind however. Without us, the fans, you people are absolutely nothing. The sweat on my balls is worth more than you people are without the fans. Keep in mind that if you do strike baseball will never ever hold the place it does in our hearts as it does now. Come up with a solution already. You all make so much money to begin with its not like you can really get the raw end of any deal since you will all still be more wealthy than most people could ever dream of becoming.Flag

I'm still pissed off about the last time they went thru this same old shit. This time it will be bye-bye baseball forever and back to the golf course!Flag

The only way to get through the greed of the game is to take this public outcry to a level that hasn't been seen before. A true national boycott would ruin this sport in ways that couldn't be imagined. I pray that there is a leader amongst us fans who could get the ball rolling on an all out baseball boycott. If they strike, I strike!!!Flag

Name: Ross Williams on May 17, 2002State: GACountry:Comments: i'm sick of this shit. these people are millionaires fergodsake. they want 'collective bargaining' so that they can be 60% more a millionaire... it's preposterous. one of them earns, in a single year, more money than the average schmuck who buys their hats and jerseys and tickets can make in 25 years. and then they complain about how short the average baseball player's career is. great. if the average player's career is 5 years, then that average player has earned 125 years' worth of the average schmuck's salary, and that player is rolling in dough. isn't he yes he is. and the average schmuck can still find enough money to go and buy $30 tickets, $5 beers, $3 hot dogs, $20 hats and $50 jerseys. i'm sure the average baseball player can figure it out also.Flag

This is the feeling of alot of loyal fans. It's time for the owners and players to show that they are loyal to the people that pay there salaries.Flag

And who actually plays both the owners and the players salary That is right, the fans! And who is getting screwed the most That is right, the fans! Time to take the Anti-trust exemptions off and hold baseball accountable for the horrible way it has conducted business.Flag

Name: Bryon Bechtel on May 18, 2002State: WICountry: USComments: If the players strike or the owners have a lock-out I will not attend another major league baseball game. I will attend little league, high school, college, and semi-pro games. It is not the game I will be angry at but the greedy owners and major league players. They can do whatever they want but they can't take away my love for the game. I don't go to games for the players, or to support the local team but for the game itself. Personally I think major league baseball needs a rival league to form. One that actually cares about the fan and also is able to take care of it's economical situation. I'm rambling so I'll stop.Flag

Name: Mike Gould on May 19, 2002State: MICountry: USComments: I totally agree, how many more strikes do they think that we as fans can handle If the guys that are making 5-10 mil a yr don;t want to play, I pretty sure there are youngsters in college, high school, minor leauges and over the hill players would love to play in the national spotlight. How much do these platers want It's just a game, that we all love and pay to see, why don;t people liek doctors and such get paid like these people they are much more important to us, who would you rather have at your side when you need a life saving surgery done...a doctor or Ken Griffy Jr who makes tons of money, but hasn;t even played a full season or close to it in 3 years. just my two cents..Flag

Name: Timothy Sepp on May 20, 2002State: COCountry: USComments: I would like to see the common American worker be able to just "afford" to take their family to a baseball game. I'm 24 and cherish the game for what it once was,not for what it's become. I too will never attend another baseball game if there is another strike. Whats the point I have a minor league team thats about an hour away I will go see.Flag

Name: Robert Wooldridge on Jul 8, 2002State: MOCountry: USComments: When the last strike occured I boycotted the game for the year of '95. I watched and listened to the games but did not attend a game. I will do at least that again if another strike occurs, and my anger may cause a longer boycott. I hope enough fans do the same to send the proper message. Baseball is still the greatest game ever invented, unfortunately is populated by men of no integrity.Flag

Name: Willy Tommola on Jul 9, 2002State: MACountry: USComments: I have had enough of the players and owners bellyaching. They are the most coddled and spoiled segment of sports. Have they not learned anything from 911, the recession, and corporate America's loss of trust. You lost me the last time for quite awhile as a fan. I came back but football is my number one sport now. You do this now and I along with millons of ther fans say goodbye. Worldcup is looking good!Flag
