Sandra NewfieldPeople need to take responsibility for their own actions. I am tired of paying higher and higher taxes so that others can waste and abuse. I work hard for my money (what little I get after all the taxes). Do NOT put this bailout on me and other taxpayers!!!!

CYNTHIA HAYESWE AMERICANS ARE HAVING IT TOUGH ENOUGH WITHOUT HAVING TO BAILOUT OTHERS
AnonymousThere has to be a better way. Why bail out these tools of the democratic party??? Get rid of ANY AND ALL money to ACORN as things like this, democratic party greed, are the reason we are in this mess.

AnonymousWho was the idiot in the Bush Administration who advised the President to name Henry Paulson Treasury Secretary? Whoever made the suggestion should have their brain yanked out of their head and put in a Trash Compactor where it belongs!
ann mariethe federal reserve is unconstitutional and should not have federal power. this crisis is about derivatives, which made wall street big profits, not about mortgages which actually have value.
James HillThis Bailout is not American at all! Everyone who took risks and made bad judgments gains from this. We who did things the right way pay the price tag. Why should the Taxpayers pay to keep people in homes they could not afford in the first place? Take a risk and reap the rewards or pay the price. If it would have gone different would those people have shared their profits with the taxpayers? Not a chance. I would like to have a better home than I have also but I have what I CAN afford. Now my home will lose value because of these people getting new much lower deals on their mortgages. Where is my families deal? Let the market crash as it will with or without this bailout anyway. I WILL BE VOTING AGAINST ALL INCUMBANTS IF THIS PASSES.
AnonymousStop this bail out we should not be held accoutable for their misuse and cleverer deceive

Daniel GTake your bail out and shove it up your ass!

Jeff WickPlease reject any bailout proposal. The first proposal was rejected. Reject any follow on proposals as well. A bailout of the financial markets does not solve the core issue. The core issue is American consumers have been living on debt and are now tapped out / broke. A bailout would just put consumers / taxpayers further in debt.
diane marinaroStart reinstating regulations, removed by gramm and others. Charge those with corrupt lending practices. Giveno compensation to high corporate execs. Remove paulson and his no questions ak asked positions. Consult wih other finanaical experts . First the war which was bogus now this. This own country is getting worse everyday
david dangeloNO BAILOUT! no future votes for members who help pass this bailout.
Tom UnderwoodI am very thankful for our Congressman Jerry Costello. At lesat we have representation through him, unlike Senator Obama. I and all my associates say NAY to the bailout! And now NAY to Obama who has abandoned us even before being elected.
