It has been brought to my attention that Mary Kay is no longer a cruelty-free company. According to PETA, Mary Kay has been removed from the "cruelty-free" list, as they have started doing animal testing to sell their products in China, which is required by law in that country. The Company sells their product in 37 countries, grossing $3.5 BILLION per year. Refusing to sell their product in a country that requires animal testing would NOT hurt their income. Mary Kay Cosmetics was founded upon the Golden Rule principal: Do Unto Others As You Would Have Done Unto You. Animals deserve better than this, and Mary Kay would NEVER allow this to happen were she still alive. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. Many of us happily joined this company when we heard that it was "cruelty-free", and now, I am very disheartened and ashamed to be representing a company who went back on its promise, and even worse, failed to notify its Consultants and customers of this awful decision. I am boycotting Mary Kay Cosmetics until they have ceased animal testing in ALL countries, and agree to NEVER do so again. Please sign this petition, and help raise awareness of this barbaric practice, and STOP it for good!
