This is a petition asking to discontinue the use of the ALEKS.com program in the CHM 201 (and potentially CHM 202) curriculum. This program should be offered as a resource, but not be a requirement factored into the grade of the class. Its inflexible, rigid programming has been overwhelming for students, many of which have spent over 80 hours on the program. The program's methods are not conducive to the learning style of all students.
