The truth is that we all benefit to some extent from economic globalization, but often the price of "free trade" is too high for workers, the environment, and small farmers. |
| 307 | Kristin Kaul | | MI | 48105 | "Free trade" agreements are exactly the wrong direction to take in this era of global warming and limited cheap energy supplies. We must decrease transportation of food, not increase it; localize agriculture and reinvigorate the local farmer, not price him out of the market with cheap imports; promote policies which are good for the populations of the countries we are in trade with, rather than enrich ourselves and a small elite in that country at the expense of the poor majority. |

| 313 | John Anderson | | MI | 48638 | Dear Congress:
I really see the faltering economy caused by free trade agreements like NAFTA and China which are finally taking their toll on the US economy. The amount of decent paying manufacturing jobs is quickly eroding along with the managerial and professional jobs that would go along with it.
Today, we have the rich getting richer, and an eroding middle class. I feel it is important to oppose the FTA agreement with Colombia as it will continue to further destroy our economy. We need to bring back jobs in our own country and start being the America it once was.
Thank you for your time,
Respectfully yours,
John Anderson |

Read the U.S., Constitution; defend it.
U.S., government is defaulted in its oath to defend the constitution. Colombian president Uribe is elitist treasoner selling out his country. |

We as a sovereign nation must remain competitive in the global market without having to sell off the rest of my nation to foreign governments. I support tariffs on any country importing the cheap crappy goods, I'd rather buy American in the first place |
