122 Patricia Wilson91501Trade agreements as poorly written as this one should never see the light of day. All people desire to be self-determinant, to live lives with dignity; please please please work to create and approve agreements that benefit more than just the handful that produced this one.

137 AnonymousMN55901In a perfect world, there would be free trade among all. But it may end up being harmful between imbalanced countries. This situation needs to be approached slowly and with caution.

140 David RohrlichMA02130How can you even consider voting for a "free trade" agreement with a country that holds the world record for assassination of trade unionists?

142 laura schlabachOH44618Please consider the needs of small farmers, not only in the United States, but also in places like Colombia. Free Trade Agreements are not equivalent to Fair Trade Agreements and tend to ignore small farmers, treating them as expendable because of their relative "inefficiency" compared to the ever-increasind mega factory farms, further concentrating land, resources, and wealth and the hands of a very few. This is neither fair nor free trade.
143 The Rev S. Elizabeth KellyOH45877Having just returned from two weeks in Colombia where our CPT group met with many Colombians and the Chief Human Rights Officer at the US Embassy, it is clear to me that we must not inact this FTA or any other that will continue this economic crisis.

149 John AndersonMI48638Dear Congress: I really see the faltering economy caused by free trade agreements like NAFTA and China which are finally taking their toll on the US economy. The amount of decent paying manufacturing jobs is quickly eroding along with the managerial and professional jobs that would go along with it. Today, we have the rich getting richer, and an eroding middle class. I feel it is important to oppose the FTA agreement with Colombia as it will continue to further destroy our economy. We need to bring back jobs in our own country and start being the America it once was. Thank you for your time, Respectfully yours, John Anderson
