Name: Wiliam Bartnick on Jun 28, 2005State: NJCountry: USComments: I like the spirit of the idea - Public property / nature used for public use. But I don't think it will be used as intended. At the location of Red Hill Road at bottom of Wilderness Trail: I've heard that before shrubs & vegetation at this spot became so overgrown, teenage kids used to smoke & drink there and my next door neigbor's house windows was smashed. If we're picturing families, etc. taking nature walks back there, I really don't think that will happen. Those folks will go to the Mount Horeb Road nature trail with its ample parking and easy to find location. There's another spot on Mount Horeb Road with a big Green acres sign on it - seems like that could be used for a parking spot and nature trails too. Why not use that areaFlag

Name: Sara Simon on Jul 6, 2005State: NJCountry: USComments: My family and I are completely against opening up this space to the public. Using this land for this use make no sense in light of the proximity to so many residential properties for both privacy and safety reasons. I am planning on attending the township committee meeting on July 28.Flag

Name: David Simon on Jul 8, 2005State: NJCountry: USComments: I am strongly opposed to having a public trail located behind my house. I think it does not make any sense when other trails exist nearby and it has the potential to have a very negative impact in our neighborhood - traffic, loitering, drugs, drinking, theft, etc. Why put a public use in the middle of a specific neighborhood when other better located opportunites exist for the benefit of the public. This is not a very well though-out plan.Flag

Name: Richard Bezozo on Jul 16, 2005State: NJCountry: USComments: I do not understand the need for these trails. There are already multiple similar trails within a ten mile radius of this proposed site in much less densely populated areas. These proposed trails would be too close to established communities and would therefore pose multiple risks to the members of these communities. We should spend our money more wisely.Flag

Name: Carol Fitzgerald on Jul 21, 2005State: NJCountry:Comments: If you wanted trails in this town so badly, you should have thought about them when developers were given free rein on available land to build huge developments...should have asked them to build trails as part of that space, made it part of the design instead of going to existing areas. This plan is not working for me.Flag
