Name: Jeff Wilcox on Apr 16, 2010Comments: I am not Aruban but a check was required. None the less, I love it here. I'm an Ex-Pat living here for the last 4 yrs. I'm also a surfer and wish the Island would be more eco minded when considering building anything. Not just strip the land and build. For every plant you take down, it should be replaced back on the property once the project is complete. No plants, no Occupancy permit. This should apply to any type of construction. Local fauna and species are going to be extinct here before you know it. I can see a big change in just the 4 years I've been here. Hardly see a Tropial, Almost never see an Owl, the last pair I saw, took up nesting in " Gold Coast" Pretty soon the only Iguanas you will see will be at the Hotels. WTF does that tell you ! Growth is fine if regulated properly.Flag
