Comments: Unbelievable that there even needs to be a discussion about this. How can this type of building be justified? Hasn't there been enough..... leave whatever charm is left on this beautiful unspoiled. Pretty soon the Aruban charm and beaches will be on the endangered list.

Comments: I am not Aruban but a check was required. None the less, I love it here. I'm an Ex-Pat living here for the last 4 yrs. I'm also a surfer and wish the Island would be more eco minded when considering building anything. Not just strip the land and build. For every plant you take down, it should be replaced back on the property once the project is complete. No plants, no Occupancy permit. This should apply to any type of construction. Local fauna and species are going to be extinct here before you know it. I can see a big change in just the 4 years I've been here. Hardly see a Tropial, Almost never see an Owl, the last pair I saw, took up nesting in " Gold Coast" Pretty soon the only Iguanas you will see will be at the Hotels. WTF does that tell you ! Growth is fine if regulated properly.

Comments: Enough, overbuilding will kill this place. It has happened in so many other places. Please learn from other areas.

Comments: Locals can't even walk on the beach without being driven away by tourists or security guards, even though there are no private beaches on the Island.

Comments: It would be a shame to keep building hotels. Aruba is wonderful just the way it is and I think people will stop coming when it is built up anymore or anymore crowded. There are more than enough hotels and stores.
