Comments: I totally disagree with overbuilding of an island that is on the verge to loose the very reason that makes it so popular!

Comments: It's a small island. You can only build so much before it's all taken over, and that would be a shame.

Comments: I work & live in the US and most Aruba -tourists I talk to say they are disappointed that it's getting so overgrown. Rather than putting up more buildings, spend this money in conserving Aruba's nature. Please save Aruba!

Comments: Back in 1992 when we looked at timeshare properties on Aruba, we were told by many that there was a "building moratorium" on the island. Since then it seems as though there has been nothing but building going on. When is enough going to be enough Aruba's present infrastructure cannot support this seemingly endless development without grave harm to its inhabitants and to the environment. The island has changed drastically since we first started visiting in 1991, and it is starting to change for the worse. The crime rate is rising and the flavor and culture of our beloved Aruba is disappearing. The people of Aruba are becoming stressed just like Americans. There has been too much growth and it needs to slow down before all of the lovely things about Aruba disappear forever. Development should not only be about dollars and cents. It should take into consideration the impact this rapid growth is having on the island, and will continue to have for the future. Please reconsider the hotel proposal for Arashi, and others that may follow. We don't need another Cancun or Miami Beach -- we need to retain the dignity which once was Aruba.

Comments: Please, no more. Many of us will be finding a new "home away from home" if this over building continues to erode away the island's natural beauty and the island's tranquility which is one of the reasons we all grew to love it so much.

Comments: Aruba is overdeveloped already, it has to stop. People are beginning to look elsewhere because of it. If I didn't own timeshare, I would be looking for another island to visit. Please stop building and take a good look at what you've got. Your roads can't handle the traffic and Palm Beach, which was once beautiful, has a new all inclusive resort which is ugly, doesn't fit the island look at all, and since it's all inclusive, will not do anything to help support any other businesses on the island.

Comments: Please stop the building and overdevelopement. This is why we stopped going to Cancun and started visiting Aruba almost annually for the past 14 years. We fell in love with the natural beauty of the beaches, crystal blue water and the warmest people. We would hate to look for another haven elsewhere.

Comments: How is this small island going to accomadate all the staffing, residences and infrastructure needed for all the hotel expansions being planned You are introducing more foreigners and crime is already rising and tarnishing the Aruban reputation. What beaches will the Arubans have to enjoy Just say no. Thank you.

Comments: Hurrah!!! Finally some support for whats left of the beautiful ARUBA. I have been going to Aruba for 23 years and every year when I go back I am saddened by all the building that is taking place. I wonder where the sea turtles will go, their home for years and years is vanishing. Two years ago I was fortunate enough to witness the awesome site of a female leatherback coming out of the sea to lay her eggs on Eagle Beach. What a lifetime thrill. I watched until she returned to the sea. WAKE UP!!!
