Comments: a car wash at that place would not only be an eye sore for the neighborhood, make no sense economicaly ( giving no jobs to local residents) , and create a big and dangerous traffic issue

Comments: 1. Will the waste water overwhelm our over burdened systems? 2. The fire and police departments have already complained about hazardous conditions due to the school car lines and pedestrians. This will add to it. 3. Street parking on BPR in addition to cars waiting to get into the car wash will block a major state highway. 4. Will the Village pay for another crossing guard?

Comments: I have a young child who walks back and forth to school daily along this routine. The Boston Post Rd is an already busy street, adding more vehicular traffic will make it much more dangerous for the students walking to and from school.

Comments: That section of Boston Post Rd is a very busy curve with the additional traffic from the side street coming out onto the Post Rd. It is dangerous and uncessary to add the additional traffic from a car wah there.

Comments: This is ridiculous! How can you even propose a carwash on the Post Road - talk about a traffic nightmare! Between the traffic from the schools and just the overflow from 95 on any Friday night is insane. Is there not a better suited place for this?

Comments: This is terrible for traffic, and dangerous for pedestrians, most of whom are children walking to and from our schools. Along that stretch of the Post Rd., there is no sidewalk on the opposite side, walkers will have walk around the car wash traffic. This leaves pedestrians no clear and safe path. This is a nightmare for our community!

Comments: There is traffic congestion already around that location and any additional businesses will make it worse. A car wash and / or filling station will create a very dangerous situation not only for vehicle traffic but also for the residents in the area that walk on that side of Boston Post Rd. Also, there are about 5 automotive related businesses in that general area. 1035 E. Boston Post Rd. Apt. 3-11 Mamaroneck, N.Y. 10543

Comments: Please do not put a car wash at this location we live directly accross the street and we have a small child at FE Bellows. We are very concerned for her safety and those other children walking to and from school every day. Additionally, the amount and steady stream of traffic will present a safety concern for motorist as they approach the split off of Boston Post Road while potential clients would be merging into traffic, while still others traveling North on Boston Post Road would be cutting across traffic going south on Boston Post Road.

Comments: I agree that the traffic that will be generated from the proposed car wash would create even more congestion and a dangerous situation for pedestrians. Rye Neck is a walk to school district and the Village and community should make every effort to provide safe paths for pedestrians. I observed the Diamond Car Wash the other day and even with a generous set back from the street, there is often plenty of back up on Halstead. The proposed car wash on Caputo Tollgate Property does not have the propper set back conditions required by the Village.
