Simple Solution to Sleeping Air Traffic Controllers
When a plane is nearing a control tower they hail the controller to "raise the tower." Recently there have been a number of non-responsive, SLEEPING, air controllers. This situation can cause extreme danger, especially in difficult weather conditions. Policy and legislation has been suggested and fought over. Most of it relating to the shifts and working conditions of the controllers. I'd like to suggest a simple, inexpensive fix to this problem. When a pilot hails a tower and gets no response for some set amount of time, they will have the ability to send an alarm signal. This signal will activate BLAZING, UNIGNORABLE, SKULL-SHAKING horns/bells that no human being can sleep throguh. Bam. Problem solved. Thanks for reading and supporting.
