    Comments: Such an idea harks back to the militarised days of the Cold War and are not reflective of a modern dynamic Ireland that needs to remember but also move away from its past. An alternative comemmoration would be far more desirable such as turnign the GPO into a museum/memorial to the evnt and marking it annually with a small wreath laying ceremony to all victims on both sides of the wars for Irish liberation.

    Comments: I agree. The potential for the Fianna Fail fools to cling onto the coat tails of the memory of the Easter Rising is a disgrace. They should be not be allowed next nor near any commemoration to honour our brave volunteers considering their collective amnesia towards these men and women for the past 90 years. No to a FF/PD military charade, they do not have the right to commemorate - leave it to true Republicans.
