The petition

The Petition of certain citizens of New South Wales states that we object to the continued lockup of public land, waterways and oceans (including National Parks, Nature Reserves, Wilderness Areas, State Forests, Rivers and Marine Parks) by the NSW Government. We further object to the principle which removes human presence as a basis for managing the environment and thereby prevents use of public land and waterways for activities such as the enjoyment of nature and fishing.
Your petitioners request that the Legislative Council refuses to support any legislation which erodes the fundamental rights for public land and water to be enjoyed by the people. We further request that the Legislative Council takes all steps to reverse existing legislation which so erodes those rights.

I am introducing legislation into the NSW Parliament to create a Volunteer Parks Association. This is an association like the RFS or the SES but which looks after National Parks by volunteers.

SOS-NEWS is not political aligned we just publish the facts and stories for you the people to read. We do however stand firm on the policy of removing the "Lock It Up" mentality of government to appease the radicla greens for obtaining their preferecen votes. This is a chance for an independant member to present a petition to the government of your concern with this stupidity of stopping We The people visiting our heritage public lands.
