Name: Kendra Hill on Jul 17, 2003State: NCCountry: USComments: I used to go into Thoth in Yahoo Pyramids every night and now it is over run with leaguers. The worst of it is, Yahoo doesn't really seem to care NOR do they offer any sort of real solution. They don't seem too willing to stand up to their terms of service, which leaves me wondering if Yahoo really IS as good as I once thought it to be.Flag

Name: David Holden on Jul 18, 2003State:Country: UKComments: My wife has been a 'member' of yahoo a lot longer than myself, it was she who got me hooked on playing your games. I have never seen so much insultative behaviour as that shown by the members of the so called league that now frequents Pyramids, in particular the one in Thoth, which is where I go. They are rude and abusive towards other players in the room, to the extent that a particular im that my wife received was, to say the least, vulgar and disgusting. What if this had been sent to a child There are quite a few young people, and by young I mean under the age of 16, who frequent Thoth, to the many regulars this is not a problem, on the contrary, they adjust their conversation to include these young people. I really do think it is about time Yahoo took a long hard look at what is happening.Flag

Name: Mavis Saunders on Jul 18, 2003State:Country: AUComments: I used to enjoy pyramids with a fun group of people. Since the arrogant Jane came into the room with her ourfamily league it has ruined a wonderful place where so many of us have become friends. Thoth is not the same friendly place it was and it's a shame these people are allowed to take over as they have with no thought for the regular players who have used the room for so long. The members of the league/ourfamily are not very nice people. I would have sent this from my yahoo address but when I opened it, even though I asked for Australia, yahoo gave me an address for the UK. Hence, I do not use it.Flag

Name: Carrie-Ann McAlpine on Jul 18, 2003State:Country: CAComments: I have complained myself countless times on the activities of league play in non-league rooms. All to no avail whatsoever. I see no change and no action taken and for my troubles also filled out numerous comment forms which also appear to be unread. There are places for league play and I think that it should be strictly kept to such places. Chat areas are for chat. In all honesty, I have been already using Yahoo gamess less and visiting other games sites that have no league play in them. Until I see a banning of league play in non-league rooms I can only see myself migrating more to other sites and eventually only accessing yahoo for mail purposes. I'm sure this is not the intent of Yahoo but it would appear this is the action being encouraged.Flag

Name: Helen Franklin on Jul 18, 2003State: WACountry: USComments: leagues make playong games disruptive. Everytime I find a room with no league, it doesnt last long..Even when leaguers have taken a poll about whether the room wants a league in it...They ignore their own results and start one anyway. They become rude and disruptive most times...just sick and tired of it. Left playing cribbage for that reason, and I am getting ready to leave pyramids for the same reason.Flag

Name: P McClanahan on Jul 19, 2003State: TXCountry: USComments: I come into the game rooms to play abd chat with a few of my friends but cannot lately due to the leagues being there. We have politely asked them to not advertise their leagues in the chat box because we cannot chat with each other. Have they listened No! All we want is a little peace and quiet and to be able to chat with a variety of people from different countries and play the games. There is far too much name calling and harrassment, esp of the teens in my reg rooms, which is totally uncalled for. Can we not put a stop to all this uglinessFlag

Alot of the people in there are leaving because of them which is very sad, because now we are not able to unjoy chatting & just playing a game cause of them. I am hoping that you can let theses league people know that Shu doesn't want to to be a League room!! We would like to have are room back & get back to what we had A Online FamilyFlag

They come in to "ask the regulars" if there is a league, when of course barely anyone is talking or no one in the room, then try to take over. We've been lucky to get rid of all that try in our room but still, very very annoying... very rude and then dont leave and keep coming back in to be rude... Thank god for this petition. I've passed it to many.Flag

Name: Lorraine States on Jul 27, 2003State:Country: UKComments: I have been a player of pyramids for quite a while. I was playing every evening and always the same people were in, we had a nice friendly chat with the same people and made lots of friends. Then the leagues started coming in and we were harrassed. Not many of the original group come in now as they all got fed up with the abuse. This is my first time back in for a while. Thought i would see if things had changed. All of the people in our little group complained to yahoo and were told to get a private room. I don't want as private room, I would not have met all these people in a private room. I like to talk to people from all over the world just don't like being abused by league members. Good luck hope your petition makes them listen.Flag

Name: George Carlman on Jul 27, 2003State: NVCountry: USComments: I have been verbally abused by "Leaguers" in the Anhotep room . . . I've been playing for over a year and using the chat for about a year. The language of the "Leaguers" is attrocious, they consistantly type in capital letters (very distracting) and the Lying to yahoo and others in the room has been extremely annoying. They have told many untruths to your organization about the regulars in the room. I served my country and community for over 45 years . . . now I'm asking to be served. I implore you to ban League Play in the regular game rooms and allow those who would like to enjoy your services of providing a medium to possibly relax and communicate with the world to proceed without rude interruption. Your assistances in this matter would be greatly appreciated.Flag
