We the undersigned, as fans of the Beach Boys, respectfully ask that John Stamos not be invited to participate in the upcoming tour and celebration of the band's 50th Anniversary. Such a milestone should honor the Beach Boys and include only surviving members of the group, with select players from their respective touring acts providing musical support. The inclusion of a TV personality who appeared with the Beach Boys on a popular sit-com over 20 years ago seems inappropriate when considering a reunion of this magnitude. Regardless of how much he loves and supports the band and their music, John Stamos is not a Beach Boy and we hope he agrees: the 50th Anniversary should spotlight only the group's core members. Creative genius Brian Wilson, perennial front-man Mike Love, original members Al Jardine and David Marks, along with longtime Beach Boy Bruce Johnston are preparing to make musical history this year. Fans are overjoyed and eager to witness the celebration, and we feel that the inclusion of John Stamos would diminish and misrepresent the legacy of America's greatest and most enduring band. Thank you.
