620 Kandi RomeroToo many power plants in this area makes you wonder what is really in store for the Navajo people. It really makes you think who really does care about that? If it is for jobs and money then you don't really value your life.

626 David M Scullyi say NO to adding an additional power plant in San Juan county because i think it's a little bit of an overkill for the environment in the area. But I do think it would make the sunsets in the area look even more insane then they already do, if a power plant were to be built in San Juan county

643 John JoeI think that the Navajo Nation should reconsider adding another coal based power plant. Stewardship regarding the Earth that we live upon is a great responsibility because it affects our children's future. There are alternative forms of clean producing energy. I'm amazed that our tribe hasn't looked at solar energy as a productive and essential part of our living environments. Geothermal technology that can allow people to live off the grid. When I pass on I would like to believe that the Navajo Nation stood up and practiced its core philosophy of living in Beauty by implementing cleaner /Greener technology into our people's way of life.
644 Joseph LuceroHave these people ever looked at the western sky in the morning? The first thing you should see is the beautiful siloette of Shiprock but instead we see the Yellow Cloud is this our legacy to our childern? I think that if it is within our power we must stop this project! This will only add to an already stressed eco system, and over all global warming.
645 nigel forrestcoal fired power=biggest cause of global warming; Desert Rock power plant=massive local environment damage; $85m tax breaks=obscene; Give Navajo people $85m to invest in large scale renewable enery projects.
646 Tom EscovarWe need to be looking at alternative energy sources; Clean energy . Desert Rock Power Plant will have significant negative impact on the environment by increasing the CO2 levels, causing health risks to the four corners population and damage to the environment. I say no to the Desert Rock Power Plant.

650 frank fowler jrSomething tells me to speak up for water and the air. Even though I support my family as a journeyman electrician I'm against another power plant being built. Just look at the chuska mountains, every drop of rain, a flake of snow well be more polluted then it is now and the cornfields and the rivers well be more contaminated. Our children will be more at risk with asma, lice, and sickness. I know the leaders of the navajo nation are being butter'd up by the big corps. and the fire being prepared for the roasting. The navajo leaders need to think and choose wise for the welfare of are next generations to come. Where are your hearts. I'ts not too late, just say no ..Mr.Shirley, where is your heart.
