204 T PayneThere is not enough public transport in the Bromley borough to enable people to leave their cars at home. Long journeys have to be made to hospitals, especially if the new proposals to close certain medical facilities go ahead.
205 P & D MurphyIt's a further tax on people living and working in the area who cannot command the high salaries paid in Central London.

214 John BatchellorThe name 'congestion charge' is a misnomer, as it is enforced even where & when congestion is not a problem, and those seeking to implement it have pushed forward a raft of measures causing increased traffic bottlenecks such as road closures, bans on turns, obstructive road architecture, negative lay-bys and road capacity halving. This shows that congestion reduction is not the genuine aim. It is just a revenue-earning tax on cars for the Mayor and his greedy schemes. Furthermore, even when it genuinely exists, congestion is an overstated problem because it is self-regulating and democratic: vehicles in a congested state have chosen to be there against all alternatives, until the point when they choose those alternatives. 216 Paul MorantWhat, yet another tax on motorists? Dont' we pay enough already? It's long time to see off this anti-motorist Labour rip-off. MAKE LIVINGSTONE HISTORY http://getkenout.net
217 AnonymousPlease get rid of Ken Livingstone! He will make London's transport problem worse and worse! It used to cost £2.30 about 2 years ago to go London by train in neighbouring West Wickham, and now its £5.70. So much for trying to get people to use public transport. Not only have bus fares also gone up and their conveniently being nowhere to top up an Oyster card after 6pm. Sticking another tax to get to Bromley by car will mean there is no cheap way to get anywhere, and consumers won't use and support their local shops anymore!

224 AnonymousI don't think Bromley can be considered London by any stretch of the imagination, and the Congestion charge was meant to cover central London only. We already pay extortionate council tax and parking charges, and there is simply no need to extend the zone this far. It's absurd.

240 AnonymousThis will kill Bromley shopping centre for sure. I'm sick to death of paying extra charges for every service that we already pay taxes for, let alone putting up with the inconvenience of so called public transport. People in outlying areas have no choice - they have to drive as there are no buses!! ALSO....take the free bus travel away from school kids except for at school travel times, that will make bus travel more appealing to everyone.
