The petition

To: Transport for London

We, the undersigned, oppose the plans highlighted in the Times on the 11th of March 2008 to extend the congestion charge to outer London, with particular reference to the London Borough of Bromley.

While we understand the need to protect the environment and manage traffic, we feel that the congestion charge will have a disproportionally negative effect on local businesses and place an increased financial strain on local families.

We urge Transport for London to scrap these plans and focus on improving public transport provision to outer London instead.
