| 1401 | elliot Newman | I hate this train, Im over 6ft tall and have a fairly bulky build which means Im cramped, the only seats that offer good enough leg room are the priority seats - and even they dont have enough width so if another customer sits down on the next seat our arms touch!
nightmare hate it ever since they changed them. I use the 0831 guildford to waterloo service. Oh and while Im at it why do Havant trains have more cars than the portsmouth trains coming from waterloo in the evenings? makes no sense to me. |
| 1402 | Joseph Valliancourt | You have my full backing on this campaign. It is ludicrous that South West Trains have even considered using the Class 450's on the Waterloo-Portsmouth line. |
| 1403 | Bob Martin | I have severe back problems, so I avoid the 450s as much as possible. |
| 1404 | W.E.Godfrey | I (and everyone else I know) prefer the 450s on the Windsor lines, SO WHY SEND THEM TO A ROUTE TO WHICH THEY ARE HOPELESSLY UNSUITED! |
| 1405 | Aidan Lines | I found this petition quite by chance. I am glad to have an opportunity to sign it, which I do with considerable passion. I have been travelling regularly from Petersfield to London since 1994, during which time the service has deteriorated significantly in terms of speed, comfort and value for money. Commuter numbers from the Hampshire towns and villages have increased significantly during this time, and it must be possible for SWT route planners to find a way of distinguishing between the needs of the mainline users (Haslemere and points south), and those of the Surrey suburban travellers. However, it is clear that passenger comfort and interests are at the very bottom of SWT's priorities, and are not much further up a chart of anyone else's measure of railway effectiveness, which is why SWT holds the franchise.
But what can one expect? SWT is a monopoly provider of a service, in the business of making money for Stagecoach, so of course passenger interests come last. Stagecoach has no brand value as a name - if it branded sunglasses, or car insurance, or anything else, would one buy? Stagecoach is a rubbish brand, SWT is a rubbish subsiduary, and all of the problems associated with this "service" will continue as long as the company is allowed to operate it. I feel quite sorry for most of the staff. |

| 1408 | Nigel Williams | As a daily commuter from Rowlands Castle I actively avoid 450s, to the extent of changing at Petersfield each morning and wasting 7 minutes. They are totally unsuitable for long distance journeys: at the price I am paying for a season ticket I do not expect to be crammed sardine-like into a set of three seats where it is impossible to move let alone read a paper and trying to work is a complete non-starter. It is an utter disgrace and an insult to their passengers who have no other option that SWT should have allowed these short distance suburban trains further than Woking. |

| 1411 | Anonymous | They are a disgrace and I challenge the Minister of Transport to use them (2nd Class) evrey day in place of his limousine. They are not built for a 90 mile journey. |

| 1421 | M.Thomson | Introducing these trains on a busy long distance route is a retrograde step and totally unacceptable on this type of journey. |
| 1422 | Rob Dixon | Train companies should be using appropriate rolling stock for a long-distance journey. Passenger comfort must not be ignored. |
| 1423 | Margaret Willmot | Long distance commuters should be able to travel in more comfort than the 450 class stock can provide, they pay enough for their season tickets. |
| 1424 | C Philpott |
| 1425 | Manuela Lozancic | Considering the amount of money I have pay for a yearly rail ticket from Haslemere to Waterloo, it’s an absolute disgrace what kind of service I get in return. You try to squeeze your 6ft frame into one of those meager seats with no room for your legs or shoulders for 3 hours each day. Bring back the old 2+2 seaters! |
