| 1203 | Matthew Irish | Give portsmouth back it's 444s!! |
| 1204 | Anonymous | Why do all need to stop at Guildford and Woking?
Why can't the the fast sevrices have the 444s and not a spresent the 5.45 stopping service |
| 1205 | Tom Ware | The 450 "blue" trains are inhuman for any sort of distance. They make commuting a misery and have caused me knee problems and I travel first class! There is not enough leg room in first class let alone Second class. Also the seats are not only ludicrously uncomfortable the arm rests are bizarrely high so putting one's arms on the arm rests is actually a discomfort. Having sat in 2nd class I notice that on seats that are 3 abreast 3 average sized men cannot actualy fit on the seats. SWT should hang their heads in shame. I would be very happy to contribute to the campaign. Everyone who travels on this inter city line is livid about this even the SWT staff. |

| 1207 | Murray Chancellor | The 450 trains are unsuitable for the long distance Portsmouth to Waterloo route. |
| 1208 | Jane Puttock | The 450 trains don't help the overcrowding as many people prefer to stand rather than sit in the middle of 3. The 'overcrowded 18.00 from Waterloo has seats until about 3-4 minutes before departure, you make a choice if you arrive just before the train leaves, either stand or get a seat on the 18.15, you aren't forced to stand. |

| 1212 | Dr Deborah Binks-Moore | Dreadful stealth tactic to put the health and safety of passengers at risk on longer journeys for the benefit of passengers with a much more frequent service (woking and guildford) and save costs for SWT, which we pay for with increased fares, poor health and worse service |
| 1213 | Iain Brown | A case of the needs of the very few outweighing the needs of the many. What was once a pleasant, comfortable journey is now to be dreaded. |

| 1216 | Anonymous | The 450s are quite simply not fit for purpose on the Portsmouth line. |
| 1217 | Anonymous | Absolutely disgraceful decision, made even worse by the fact that there has been no consultation. |
| 1218 | James Brighton | Its a constant irritation, day to day. The comfort levels have gone down by 75% and for 3 Grand plus a year we deserve a better servce and an opportunity for our grievances to be heard and listen to. Majority of customers feel like this |
| 1219 | Anonymous | This morning on the 6:47 from Haslemere I noted that from Guildford there were 5 seats left empty at my end of the 444 carriage but lots of people choosing to stand. There was even one guy sitting on the floor! This shows just how cramped and uncomfortabe the seats really are! The provision of extra seating is a pointless exercise. It is not being used! |
| 1220 | John Turton | I totally agree with the petition - I brought up the same points in an e-mail to SW Trains as soon as they announced the change in trains. |

| 1222 | Jonathon Elder | Overcrowding is not frequent, except when there are delays or cancellations. Often people choose to stand rather than sit in a row with 3 seats when 2 are already occupied. |

| 1226 | Anonymous | Both the legroom and seat width on the 450s is wholly unacceptable and the seats are simply uncomfortable. I should not have to spend a 1 hr journey constantly having my shoulder jostled or my leg knocked by passing passengers. I am unable to do any productive work.
The 0915 from Haslemere at just 4 coaches is plainly ridiculous - how is that helping with supposed overcrowding. The 5 coach 444 never used to have a problem.
The additional theoretical capacity of the 450s is just that - theoretical. I frequently see the middle seats of the 3's unoccupied as there is simply not enough room for 3 sets of shoulders.
The overcrowding only becomes a problem at Guildford and Woking. Put on other services to take that load off the Portsmouth trains and re-instate the 444s. |
| 1227 | Anonymous | Things are getting no better...my back, which has never troubled me is beginning to hurt badly so by the time I get home in the evening its quite painful and very stiff. I hope SW Trains are not playing a waiting game that they will win by everyone just accepting their abysmal offering of a train service.....Try to tell every one about this protest site and email the company as frequently as you can...make them pay attention and have to allocate resources to customers needs...now thats a novely for them and their unpleasant ultimate Chairman, Brian Soutar...ps, I wonder what they are going to say when they announce record profits? |
| 1228 | dab | This train is truelly awful, how can we be expected to endure it for 2 hours, i spilt my food and drink all over the seats opposite! |

| 1231 | Peter Gwilliam | I am extremely concerned about this fall in standards. Trains are uncomfortable and overcrowded. This is an unacceptable provision for journeys of this length. Please rethink. (Milford - Waterloo user) |
| 1232 | ADJ WiIliams | I am fed up with the overcrowdning and porr conditions on the 450 trains. I need to work ont he train and have been forced to go 1st class in 450s to give the same comfort and space as 2nd class in 444 trains. SWT need to either keep 444s or reduce prices to reflect the condiitons provided by the 450s. |

| 1236 | Anonymous | its a nightmare, i ahev asked my PM to intervene but he gets rebuffed by SWT ad the Dft. Can't work on the blue trains - ahev no had to pout house on market, its intolerable. |

Animals in a cattle truck on way to slaughter get treated better then us passengers on SWT |

| 1239 | Anonymous | SWT, please do something about these trains - they make our journeys a misery!! |
| 1240 | Martin Stevens | I used to praise the Portsmouth to Waterloo serrvice on the 444s, which are comfortable and enable me to work properly. When on a crowded 450, work is very difficult, if not impossible. These trains are just not suitable for the length of journey involved. |
| 1241 | Anonymous | People end up standing anyway on the 450 trains as they don't want to sit in cramped conditions on the 3 seats - so can't see they are solving the problem. Portsmouth to London is a long distance route, we shouldn't have to put up with trains designed for shorter commuter routes. |
| 1242 | Lisa Ross | |
| 1243 | Mr Meredith | It is an absolute disgrace, the 450 trains are extremley uncomfortable, not just in terms of seats, leg room & space between fellow travellers, but also in terms of the ride. The trains are not nearly as "smooth" as the 444's. Since the introduction of the 450 I have been suffering from extreme back pain, which has resulted in the need for persistant physio to null the discomfort - I wonder if compensation would be awarded? Doubtful, clearly the SWT management have no desire to listen to their customers and couldn't care less for customer satisfaction!!! |
| 1244 | Steve Dowdell | |
| 1245 | P Glass | Passengers ALWAYS come first. Management must see this and accept and above all, LISTEN, I say again, LISTEN to views of passengers and allow the 444.s to continue provising the services between London and Portsmouth. |

| 1247 | Robert Ling | The 450 "blue" trains are completely unacceptable for use on the Portsmouth line and should only be used for shorter commuter surburban routes as I am sure was originally intended. Not only is the seating uncomfortable, at 6ft 5in I am unable to sit in most of the seats on the train as there is insufficient leg room. I spend circa 500hrs on this train every year and pay in excess of £3k for my season ticket. I expect better service than this and request the immediate return of the 444 "white" trains which are far more suitable for the portsmouth service. |
| 1248 | David Smith | This is a serious degradation of serv ice - notably announced after they had won the latest franchise. |
| 1249 | Tom Cromwell | SWT's callous treatment of riders is diabolical, and should be stopped. If SWT and the Government want to encourage more use of public transport on intercity routes they need to provide adequate trains that allow comfort and at-seat working.
A train franchise is a public obligation to provide service, not just a license to print money! |
