According to the Nova Scotia Nurses Union, Nurse Uniform Policy extracted from the 2011 ACUTE CARE/LONG TERM CARE TENTATIVE AGREEMENTS Employers will determine the color of uniforms that both LPNs and RNs will wear. As Employers try to create a balence of professionalism, identity,approachability and confidence it is understandable the need for a formal dress code. However,we feel that imposing a uniform color code infringes on our individual rights and freedoms.The Canadian charter of Rights and Freedom guarentees the fundamental freedom of expression and this agreement is contrary to this right. Signing this petition will signify that you oppose the agreement that employers determine the color of uniforms. Thank you for your support.
