The issue of school uniforms is first of all a rights issue. School uniform policies infringe upon students First Amendment rights to freedom of expression. And under the Fourteenth Amendment claims that the school has violated the students liberty to control his or her personal appearance. Aren't schools suppose to teach students the importance of our rights? Are schools putting themselves above the law? Are schools teaching students that decisicions should be made without debate and without prior research into the matter? People get bullied more about there uniform than they do with normal clothes.
