I have been spending my time looking into the traffic studies for that intersection and the numbers are just as concerning as we imagined. It is truly humbling to see so many neighbors stepping up to protect our streets when I only intended for this to be a small local conversation.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the momentum this has gained so quickly. This response is entirely due to this neighborhood coming together and I am just grateful to be part of such an engaged group.

Inappropriate use of the property because of the neighborhood, and will cause incredible disruptions to traffic flow. In addition, there was not enough parking years ago when the restaurant was in use, and street parking caused traffic flow issues.
Our neighborhood is a great place to live, the 500 block of Atkins Ave is one of the best kept streets in the South Highland area. Everyone cares for their property and takes a pride in their homes. Please help us to avoid such a travesty from taking place in the neighborhood that we all love. Patricia & Ian, 507 Atkins Ave.
I live and work close to this intersection. The funeral home will create pockets of intense traffic congestion. Let's try a business that will spread traffic out over the day AND provide a useful service for the neighborhood.
Kings Hwy it's narrow, congested and in need of tragic help currently. Adding a funeral home, complete with lines of escorted funeral processions and you will drive thru traffic further into the neighborhood onto purely residential streets. Please don't allow this.
I am against of the rezoning of Don's Seafood at 3100 Highland Ave. The traffic congestion will be horrible and a resident of South Highland I believe that a Funeral Home would bring down my property value.
To have resturants only on Youree, bad ones by the way and not anywhere else in the city is rediculous. That should not be another funeral home

I live in South Highland. I walk these areas with my children and pets. I do not feel that this is an appropriate area for a funeral home. The traffic in this area is already terrible on a good day.
