The community of Greenpoint opposes granting L&D Gourmet Mini Market, at 316 McGuiness, a liquor license to sell and serve beer and wine on premises. We also oppose granting this establishment a license to sell beer and wine 24 hours a day. GIven the proximity of the shelter on 400 McGuiness, which houses sex offenders and people with substance abuse issues, we believe that the liquor license will be detrimental to the safety and welling-being of our community.
