Town Council Members would like to allow JJ Sullivan (Guillford) to open a bulk propane storage facility on Ciro Road in North Branford. Surrounding towns and their residents have vehemently opposed this type of storage (Guilford & Clinton). Why is OK for North Branford? What value does it bring to North Branford residents (besides the person who owns the land)? Why has this not been brought to the attention of the residents vs having to hear about it second or third hand or by reading letters to the editor of the local paper? Can they ensure that this type of storage will not endanger residents? Even if safety precautions are followed, operator error cannot be fully ensured. The site's proximity to a gas station must also be considered. What will happen to property values and home owner's insurance?
