The school boards ability to modify infringes on your rights and ability to help choose how your child is educated.Flag

Name: David Nunn on Dec 1, 2012Comments: The Blended plan does not address the county's goal to provide membership relief for elementary schools in the area with forecasted membership at 100% of capacity or higher. This plan creates an overcrowded situation for 4 years (per county's projections) at Gayton ES.Flag

Name: Margaret Vint on Dec 1, 2012Comments: It is upsetting to think that after a 3+ mile bus ride children, that went to Carver, will be driving past our home on their way to Pocahontas... and my children will be driving nearly 6 miles to Byrd. Pocahontas is just over a mile from our house. On top of that, they will be dumped into a school without the majority of the peers they have grown up with... I don't see how the blended plan makes sense financially for the HCPS (shipping children all over the county) and it's certainly not what it best for our children's academic success.Flag
