We believe that having ROTC programs at Columbia University will contribute to student body diversity and foster an understanding of the complementary roles of the business, academic and military professions in our nation’s affairs. We also believe that ROTC programs contribute to the common defense and security of all citizens and educate students to recognize the value of a strong military in achieving these beneficial goals.
