The Parish Council want to build a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) on a the Practice Pitch in the playing fields. The MUGA will be 38m x 18m (7,300sq ft) and surrounded by a 3 m fence and the practice pitch will be lost. The Parish Council do not need planning permission for this, despite it being built in the conservation area, so there has been no opportunity for the community to consider the effect of this huge development on a sensitive part of the playing fields.

The Parish Council have already been refused a "Certificate of Lawful Development" by TVBC meaning they will need full planning permission but have publicly stated that they will be ignoring this decision andproceeding with the development anyway at the end of August. They have made a second application for a "Certificate of Lawful Development" which will not be decided until after development has started.

Many people in the community do not want this to go ahead in this location. Please support us in stopping the destruction of part of our historic community.
