52 Joanne ReillyI absolutely do not believe that one person should take away the right of senators to vote on any bill. Put the bill to a vote. That is your job. Do it.

59 Robert L BryantI want greater transparency in Delaware government and was outraged that the "desk drawer veto" was used to kill initiatives such as putting all state spending online and allowing the public three days to review the state budget. This veto puts too much power in the hand sof committee chairmen and makes them focal points for interest groups with big money with which to tempt them.
60 Alan S GreenI think that each committee (as a whole) should review and prioritize bills/issues and that it is unethical for the chair to have the power to "hide" information from the rest of the committee.
61 Douglas Marshall-SteeleThe "desk drawer veto" is a mockery of democracy and demeaning to Delaware citizens. Further, the senators should stop embarassing us by mindlessly voting for the infamous "desk drawer veto" every session.

65 Barbara Welsh-RosenblumThe Desk Drawer Veto is not in the best interest of the public in which it is supposed to represent. The only reason I can see that this is even an issue; is that someone has something to hide. We the people want open/transparant government! We the people are tired of being abused by the government in all levels. This has got to stop!

73 Rob RothThis practice must end! It is not the Delaware way it is the way of a few men who put themselves above the will of the people and democracy itself.

77 Margaret D. BarkerI have already contacted my state senator, Margaret Rose Henry to no avail. I have expressed my feeling on desk drawer veto but she has not responded. I hope this will make a difference.
78 Michael DietzThe desk drawer must end even if it means removing Senator Adams as the head of the Senate.
79 Charles SingmanEnd the desk drawer veto NOW.
80 Denise DeOrioNo more desk-drawer veto!
81 Thomas GeraghtyThe existence of the "Desk Drawer Veto" is an affront to the democrtic principle. I left the Delaware State Democratic Party for this reason. With one person having an inordinate amount of power why bother with the election of senators, representatives and a governor. Why not have the one person as a dictator? Disgusted

88 Margaretta SbracciaI appreciate this opportunity to denounce the "desk drawer veto." I hope my senator, Dave Sokola, supports the veto as well.

90 AnonymousThe Desk Drawer Veto is as undemocratic as we can get. The elected Senators represent the voters of Delaware as a body of the hole. Individual Senators should not have the ability to veto a bill by refusing to bring it to a committee for open debate
