No More Desk Drawer Veto!

The petition

We, the undersigned, humbly request that the Senate rules include a provision which eliminates the right of a committee chairperson to deny a committee hearing to a bill. While we recommend a timetable of 10 legislative days for consideration, we humbly leave it to your collective judgment the best manner to retire the "desk drawer veto."
