It is simply not acceptable that Members of Parliament should be allowed to pass laws which affect all our lives while under the influence of alcohol bought at subsidized prices in the Palace of Westminster's bars. Nobody else in this country gets to turn up at work drunk so why should those with arguably the most important job of all? MP Eric Joyce's comment to the police arresting him for assault "You can't touch me I'm an MP" is a symptom of the same 'one law for them, another for us' attitude that led to the expenses scandal. It seems little has changed. Please add your signature in the hope that some of them are sober enough to notice.
