There are other kinds of GM like GM in Plants and Animals. An example is Terminator Technology. This is the primary focus of this petition, although I would like to ban other GMO's. Terminator technology is a genetically modified plant patented by monsanto. it stops the plant from Germinating (producing seeds) a second time. 400 MILLION farmers in India alone depend on the second seed. and they are too poor to buy  the seeds a second time. So, they will starve. GM has not been proven, but it has been proposed that it can cause problems like mutated virus. In fact, While experimenting scientists made a lethal mouse disease (they destroyed it so don't worry about fluffy the pet rat). No one knows if it can cause cancer. Monsanto has decided to not market it but they are waiting... waiting... waiting. If we make GM illegal: Monsanto will lose A LOT. Because the US is the biggest producer of GM.
